So l'm feeling all christmas-y and have decided to offer all my blog reading clients a little something special.

There will be rules with the deal though, so read carefully to see if you qualify!

I am offering 50% off reprints.

THE RULES

1. It must be from a session that has already been ordered on before this post date.

2. It must be of photos that YOU have already ordered, and can only be the same size or smaller than previousy ordered.

3. Will only be in the same style as previously ordered (colour or black & white).

4. This deal is for reprints ONLY. I will not be editing new photos at 50% off prices.

5. All 50% off reprint orders must be placed by Monday 7th December, and will then be available for pre-christmas delivery.

These are the rules, no exceptions. If you missed out because you have not yet ordered, sorry. If this is successful l may offer the same deal next year. So if you don't know what to get for a christmas present, how about some photos?

I'm still here. Really.

Just very time poor. It's hard work with 4 children and trying to run a business!!

So, l've decided to make some changes.

They will come in to effect from the 1st of January (easy to remember).

The first change will be the introduction of a sitting fee and there will be a slight increase in print prices, as l have not had a price increase since l started, l believe this to be reasonable. I have equipment & props to replace and maintain. My website will be up and running before this time, with all prices/policies listed there.

I need to find a good work/life balance, l have to start somewhere.

For those of you wondering, l am now booked for October and l have only limited spaces for Nov/Dec. Cut off for pre-christmas orders is mid-november. I will continue to take sessions on after that time, but they will not be guaranteed for christmas.

It's been so long since l last blogged, and l feel guilty. I was told the other day that Kate's girls want me to update the blog, so here am! (Sorry girls!)


We are very excited to introduce to you our sweet little baby boy


Kye Alexander Jordan.


He was born on th 18th May, after a four and a half hour labour and weighed 8lb12oz.


Life has been pretty busy since then, with four children to run after, l'm back at work, have had my camera sent away to be fixed after it broke, and have been busy busy busy trying to document the sweet stage of newborn-ness before its gone in a flash. So here he is, our little cutie. We love him so much and wonder how we got by with only 3. His big brother & sisters love him to bits too.

Sweet Nothing....

Well, the time has finally arrived. With 3 weeks until our baby is expected to arrive, l have finished the last of my sittings. I am still taking/processing orders right through my leave, so feel free to call or email if you have order related questions. Towards the end of May l will post about my return to work, as well as emailing those who have expressed an interest in booking a session upon my return. If l promised to email and you haven't heard from my by the end of May, give me a holler, l may have overlooked you!

I think that's all l have to say at the moment, l am hoping to get time to post some of my recent sessions, so keep an eye out for them. I will also announce bubs arrival here when l get home from hospital!

So, this is me a couple of weeks ago (l've got bigger since then!). And just so you know, l do maternity sessions all the time, but because of the private nature of these type of photos, they are never blogged! Keep it in mind if you're expecting!

This is our adorable new puppy, 9 week old Coco. She is soooo cute, l look into her beautiful eyes and am smitten!
She is a chocolate labrador for anyone who doesn't recognise the breed.

Maternity leave.

Finally got around to looking at my schedule and comparing it to my due date and have now set my cut-off for sessions.

I will take session bookings for dates up until Friday 17th April. There will only be limited places available, so get in early to ensure you don't miss out! This date is the last friday of the school holidays, so there will be plenty of time in there to capture your school aged children as well. You can contact me either by email lisajo@netconnect.com.au or call my mobile on 0488 582 543. I have only three weeks until my due date from this cut-off, so there will be no exceptions in booking after this time.

As for my return date, l am thinking towards the end of May, but will have to wait and see how l am coping with the new bub. Preference will be given to newborns and younger babies during this time, as they change so quickly. You are welcome to leave an email at any time during my leave expressing an interest in a session. I will try to reply as often as possible. I will post on the blog when l am ready to get back to it!

And since l can' post without pics, here's my pretties (and can someone explain why my six year old looks more like she is sixteen?)

Baby Love

I'm so lucky! Today one of my good friends brought me her baby and said l could do whatever l liked with him. Seeing how she trusted me not to break her baby in half, l decided to try something a tad different. Hope you all like the results. It was fun. He only peed twice and didn't scream too much!

I've had heaps of newborns through in the past few months, but not much time to post about them! Here is a sweet little guy from a few days ago. It was a lonnnnnnng wait for him to finally drop off to sleep, but so totally worth it! Doesn't he look peaceful?

Life and Loss....

We spent the first day of the New Year celebrating Kaitlynn's 6th birthday. The tooth fairy visited her on New Years Eve for the fist time as well. We had a beautiful day, went out for lunch as a family of five with (mostly) well behaved children. Cake with family rounded out the day.

Today we awoke to the 2nd Jan, mouring the loss of our beloved Bonnie, 11 years. Tears all round.

RIP.

Three

It comes around so quickly, and so soon my baby is not a baby, no even a toddler, really. All you can call him now is a boy. Boy, oh, boy. He is that fo sure.

And now here he is, 3 years old. I'm hoping with this comes a touch of common sense, and maybe easing back his pedal on the metal!

A bit early, l know, but l have so much going on at the moment who knows when l will get another chance to blog before christmas. I have another wedding on the weekend, so l'm looking forward to that. Still got a few orders to process and must do the ring around for those that have arrived back from the lab. Kaitlynn had her school concert last night, and she was gorgeous. She's come a long way in 12 months, that she can stand up on stage and sing in front of an audience. It's fantastic!

Bailey turns 3 tomorrow, have to come up with something to do for that....

Anyway, if l don't get back here before christmas (l'll try!) Merry Christmas - from my family to yours!!

Just swingin'

Trying to get back in the swing of things. So much wedding stuff to finish and then all my pre-xmas orders keeping my veeery busy. But nearly on top of it all now. I think. Oh well, l'll get there in the end.

I still haven't started my christmas shopping, and then l have Bailey's b'day 1 week before xmas and kaitlynn's b'day new years day.

So non stop this time of year.....

Better get back to it, more orders to send to the lab, so if you're waiting for orders, they should be back soon!!

I love to photograph weddings {l'm such a sticky-beak} and l love that l see it all. Dramas, hissy fits (trust me, they happen!) the emotion,the love. It's all so gorgeous, and l feel so lucky to get to share it with all the wonderful couples who invite me into their world on such an important day in their lives....

Well, back into normal life, l guess. No more late mornings in my jammies...

Hard to believe it's only just around the corner, Christmas will be here, and Kaitlynn will no longer be a little preppie. Seems like she is growing so fast. Sometimes l look at her and wonder, 'when did she stop being a little girl and turn into a big girl?'. So independent, a bit cheeky, lots of fun, still shy but determined to find her own way.

She makes me so proud of her every day, she's so sweet and kind - very nuturing.

I love to take her photo, but somewhere along the way she found a fake smile, and it's hard to get her to let it go and just be natural!

Cheese?

What can l say about this little dog? She is 10? years old and still a puppy at heart. Very much a terrier in personality. Could be the perfect dog, if not for a few annoying (and sometimes rather disturbing) bad habits.

This is Clyde, the younger of our two furry children (and not the giver of the bite shown below).

Was thinking how long it had been since l had taken their photos and thought l would use my wide angle lens to get some more creative results. Who could have known her funny little personality would shine through?

Just a quick one...

Ahhh....school holidays! YAY!!

No more rushing out the door every day. I didn't even get dressed this morning til nearly 10am. And this is a chance to try and get some family photos of my little lovelies (or is that ferals?) Bailey was given a black eye last night when Charli pushed him into the dining table - it's a real thumper too.

Never mind, though. A time out in her room seemed to sort her out!

Can't wait to catch up with all our friends over the hol's. Some we haven't seen in ages. Should be good.

Anatomy of a dog bite.....

Consider this a public service announcement.

Do you have a pet dog?

Do you trust it?

Do you say to yourself how good it is with your children?

Trust it? Don't. The photos below are of Bailey, from earlier this year, when our 12 year old cocker spaniel bit Bailey on the face.

It was not the dog's fault. It was not Bailey's fault. It was mine. I should never have left them alone in a room together, not even for a minute.

We still have Bonnie. She is old and tired and doesn't take kindly to heavy toddlers going hee-ha on her back. I t was a difficult decision, and it is hard to keep them seperated, but it must be done.

I hope the pictures below serve as a wake up call to all of you dog owners. If your child is behaving in a way that makes you say how tolerant the dog is, sit up and take notice. They do have a breaking point. NO dog can be trusted.

I have been waiting rather impatiently for a half decent temperature to give my brand new prop a whirl.

This is what a tool looks like.....

He really does play the fool, and l'm not talking just a little bit, it's ALL the time! He can be sooooo tiring.

I believe he might be preparing for his Australian Idol audition......he certainly has enough confidence to do ANYTHING!
Luckily for me you get glimpses of a really beautiful boy, he gives great cuddles and loves with ALL of his heart. It helps he has really cute dimples too.....
I think l might keep him!!
